I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Computational Microbiologist in the Wyres Lab at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
My current project focuses on characterising polysaccharide loci and the genomic epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance in Klebsiella spp. I have previous research experience in transmission dynamics and the genomic epidemiology of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and the genomics of antimicrobial resistance and epigenomics in extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli.
I am particularly interested in the evolution of pathogenesis and antimicrobial resistance in gram negative bacterial pathogens.
I am also passionate about teaching, mentoring and science communication.
